Bei diesem hatte sie am 21. Januar 2017 gemeinsam mit tausenden Gleichgesinnten auf den Stra\u00dfen der amerikanischen Hauptstadt gegen den tags zuvor inaugurierten US-Pr\u00e4sidenten Donald Trump, sowie f\u00fcr Frauen- und Menschenrechte demonstriert. Wenige Tage sp\u00e4ter lud Evans, bei der es sich um eine relativ prominente Netz-Pers\u00f6nlichkeit handelt, das Video auf ihren YouTube-Kanal hoch. Das Video dient einerseits Au\u00dfenstehenden als Einblick in die Protestbewegung. Andererseits schreibt es sich selbst als affiziertes und affektiv wirksames Dokument in das kollektiv-historische Bewusstsein der Bewegung ein.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Stilistisch orientiert sich das Video am Vlog-Subgenre des <em>Follow Me Around<\/em>: Bei diesem nehmen Filmende ihre Zuschauenden mit in ihren Alltag, indem sie permanent die Kamera bei sich tragen und auf diese Weise das Tagesgeschehen subjektiv gefiltert aufbereiten. Auch in Evans\u2018 Video soll sich das YouTube-Publikum durch ausgew\u00e4hlte Videoschnipsel in die Atmosph\u00e4re des Protestmarsches einf\u00fchlen k\u00f6nnen. Ein m\u00f6glichst umfassendes Zeugnis des Geschehens abzulegen ist dabei allerdings nicht das Ziel \u2013 vielmehr werden nur ausgew\u00e4hlte Ausschnitte gezeigt. Die amateurhafte \u00c4sthetik der Bilder \u2013 aufgenommen von einer einzigen Person mit einer kleinen Handkamera \u2013 suggeriert dabei nicht nur ein hohes Ma\u00df an Authentizit\u00e4t, sondern betont zudem auch die Bewegungszugeh\u00f6rigkeit der Filmerin. Evans inszeniert den Protestmarsch nicht als neutrale Beobachterin von au\u00dfen, sondern filmt den Marsch als Teil der Menschenmenge selbst: Sie teilt die Werte, Ansichten und Ziele der Bewegung und dokumentiert sie entsprechend von innen heraus.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Diese Identifikation spiegelt sich deutlich in der Auswahl der oft nur wenige Sekunden langen Videoschnipsel wider: Gezeigt werden emotionale Bilder des Zusammenhalts, wie zum Beispiel ein junges, Schwarzes M\u00e4dchen, das mit einem anderen Schwarzen Demonstranten abklatscht, w\u00e4hrend die Mutter des Kindes ger\u00fchrt zu lachen beginnt. Durch das Anwenden eines leichten Slow-Motion-Effekts hebt Evans den symbolischen und emotionalen Gehalt dieses kurzen Moments besonders hervor. Das affektive Potenzial des Videos fu\u00dft jedoch weniger auf der Darstellung der anderen Protestierenden als vielmehr auf Selfie-Aufnahmen und Point-of-View-Shots der Filmerin selbst. So zeigt sich Evans etwa, gemeinsam mit ihrer Begleiterin, fr\u00f6hlich lachend vor einem Meer aus Protestierenden, dessen Ausma\u00df sie sichtlich \u00fcberrascht. Das authentisch anmutende Staunen l\u00e4sst sie aber nicht nur als Protagonistin des Videos, also als Identifikationsfigur greifbar werden, sondern vermittelt dar\u00fcber hinaus den Eindruck, die \u201aechte\u2018 Allie Evans zu sehen, die sich ungek\u00fcnstelt selbst auf Video festh\u00e4lt. Statt die Forderungen der Protestierenden argumentativ aufzugreifen, vermitteln Evans\u2018 Reaktionen aus dem Geschehen heraus Emotionen wie Freude und Begeisterung.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">So wird glaubhaft, dass Evans aus eigener, aktivistischer \u00dcberzeugung anwesend ist. Auch wird durch die h\u00e4ufig verwendeten POV-Shots die k\u00f6rperliche Anwesenheit vor Ort herausgestellt und in die Video-\u00c4sthetik eingeschrieben: Den Zuschauenden wird so das Gef\u00fchl vermittelt, selbst Teil der Menge zu sein und mitzulaufen \u2013 besonders deutlich etwa in dem Moment, als Evans die Kamera im Gehen nach unten auf ihre Schuhe richtet. Gleichzeitig l\u00e4dt Evans die Demonstration \u00fcber den Moment hinaus mit historischer Bedeutung auf: Der Hauptteil endet abrupt, indem Evans die Linse der Kamera mit der Hand verdeckt \u2013 ein in Vlogs h\u00e4ufig angewandtes Motiv, um einen inhaltlichen Einschnitt zu signalisieren. Es folgen Ausschnitte aus Protestreden historisch bedeutsamer Widerstandsbewegungen: Martin Luther Kings \u201eI have a dream\u201c, Betty Friedans Auftritt beim Women\u2019s Strike for Equality im August 1970. Auch Hillary Clinton, Trumps politische Widersacherin, ist bei der Vierten UN-Weltkonferenz der Frauen in Beijing 1995 zu sehen, zudem wird die US-amerikanische Schauspielerin America Ferrera w\u00e4hrend ihrer Er\u00f6ffnungsrede beim Women\u2019s March On Washington gezeigt. Mit dieser Aneinanderreihung stellt Evans den Protestmarsch, dem sie selbst beiwohnte, auf eine historische Bedeutungsebene: Der Women&#8217;s March on Washington sei das aktuellste Glied in einer langen Kette, die von Martin Luther King bis in die Gegenwart reiche \u2013 und damit die einzig logische Konsequenz angesichts noch immer herrschender Ungerechtigkeit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201eWomen&#8217;s March on Washington\u201c vermittelt so im Kern eine <em>shared experience<\/em>: Das Video dient als Motivationsimpuls f\u00fcr Sympathisierende, als affektiv wirksame Erinnerung f\u00fcr ehemalige Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer, und erm\u00f6glicht ferner auch Unbeteiligten, einen Einblick in den Marsch sowie die dahinterstehende Bewegung und ihr Selbstverst\u00e4ndnis. Gleichzeitig ist der Clip als pers\u00f6nlich vermitteltes historisches und affiziertes Dokument einer Teilnahme-Erfahrung selbst Teil des kollektiven Bewegungsbewusstseins und formt dieses mit. Insbesondere durch seine Fokussierung auf die Einzelperson Allie Evans, ihre Reaktionen und ihre (wortw\u00f6rtliche) Perspektive auf das Geschehen, stellt das Video die Freude der Protagonistin und das Gemeinschaftsgef\u00fchl beim Protest auf positive, ansteckende Art und Weise dar. Trotz fehlender Handlungsaufforderung birgt das Video somit Mobilisierungspotential.
