The TikTok Cultures Research Network is pleased to announce its fourth virtual event TikTok and Social Movements<\/a> on 20 September organized by founding members Dr Jin Lee, Associate Professor Crystal Abidin, and Dr Bondy Valdovinos Kaye.<\/p>\n

The half-day event will take place via Zoom on 20 September at 12.00-17.00 (GMT+8). The event will showcase emergent research on the potentials, promises, pitfalls, and parameters of various movements on TikTok. The event will feature a keynote delivered by Dr Ariadna Matamoros-Fern\u00e1ndez (Queensland University of Technology) and four sessions by 16 panelists from Asia, Middle East, Europe, Africa, and North America.<\/p>\n

We invite students and researchers in academia, professionals from media industries and social media industries, and members of the general public to attend this event.<\/p>\n
